HON.MIKI KAEOK'S POPULAR NAME TAG " ATM & KANAKAE" IS NO MORE

By Lungipin Remcy

Hon. Miki Kaeok's popular name tag "ATM" largely defined by his passion for sharing is a symbol of care and love he has for his people.
However, many critics say that such is an attitude of a "kanakae" to lure votes and maintain social relations in the society.
Despite this, Hon. Miki Kaeok, MP and Vice Minister for Works & Highways in his first public address to his people of Wapenamanda, Enga and PNG said that his name tag "ATM" is best replaced with "Kalai-akali or Wokman" and "Kanakae" with "Saveman". He came with a Hope unite all educated elites to help redevelop policy frameworks and rehabilitate and rebuild Wapenamanda from it's slumber and ruins.

05th January 2023

By Charlie Clye Tikaro

What a turn of events between a landowner group vs ExxonMobil & State. It was all in favour of the landowners until it reaches Supreme Court. And sadly, the landowners will now meet the entire legal costs for the State and ExxonMobil.
*************************
Lawsuits by landowners relating to the 2009 Kokopo Umbrella Benefit Sharing Agreement (UBSA) and License-Based Benefit Sharing Agreement (LBBSA) derived from the PNG LNG project were now statutorily time barred.
This means any cases filed against the State where the cause of action is based on the UBSA and LBBSA would not be entertained by the courts since the issue was now statutorily time barred

MARAPE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO RESERVE THE DECISION TO ALLOW CHINA BANK IN PNG!

By Richard Marainump

There is too many risks in this decision of allowing China to operate bank in PNG.

1》In the long run the Chinese bank will try all possible means to buy off local banks after it has rooted itself and try to finance and facilitate all Chinese businesses in PNG to be competitive with local businesses of which some are already in existence or doing and this will only add fuel to the fire.
2》There is possibility of China bank taking over PNG banking industry because the government has already created unfavorable environment for the operating local banks and if the China bank gives a good competition, there is possibility of these banks dying out like Wespac and ANZ in PNG. And where do we go if that happens?

Peace Restoration with 270 Pigs, K250,000 plus 12 cows as Compensation

Tears seeing myself surrounded by only young men of my age. Not many elders who could stand behind us to guide us in such social and community obligations.
I take this time to thank my big bro Livingstone Nyeta for your presence in every community obligations as these. You become father to us young men in the community after our fathers have left us so early. We are learning to be part of the community in such social and community obligations. Yesterday was one of those challenging moment when our young men in Dickson Waso, Beamin Tombingi, Willie James, Noah Kunea, Sauwan Wasia and myself decided to take this responsibility at this age. We walked into the main arena to join rest of the tribesmen in an effort to restore peace between Waimin and Aluni tribes of Wapenamanda district, Enga Province.

Total of K250,000+ money, 270 pigs, 12 cows to our neighboring Aluni tribe (Day#1+Day#2+Day3+bell kol contributions).

Hon Rimbink Pato picked Box#22 for Year 2022 NGE in a draw box

Hon Rimbink Pato, OBE, MP

After all formalities have been completed, District Returning Officer, Area returning officers and other Electrol Commission officials drew the candidate number infront of the Wapenamanda District Administation building. It happens that #22 was picked up from the draw BOX as candidate number for Hon Rimbink Pato this NGE 2022 infront of over 3,000 people including all candidates. So why some 'Thomas' in Wapenamanda keep on turning blind eye.

Wapenamanda has many impact projects under Hon Rimbink Pato. Projects such as K15m district market (approved on 29th of April and being designed now), Tsak rural electrification which will connect entire Tsak valley, K25m Tsak road sealing under O'Neil Govt, K100m Lumusa-Wapenamand missing road link captured in 2022 National Budget, K46m Wapenamanda airport rehabilitation are some of the impact projects under Hon. Rimbink Pato OBE MP. Not all districts in PNG see such impact projects.

Multi million kina projects as these never come so easily. It needs top political leadership and RP fits that very well. You will never regret voting him back this NGE 2022.
